The Covid-19 pandemic rapidly brought the need for on / off-site teaching and learning to schools, teachers, parents and pupils across the UK. Giles explores the systems and procedures that were put in place to provide a parallel yet broadly asynchronous experience, where children are delivered the same materials whether able to attend school or not – based around Seesaw at KS1 and Google Classroom at KS2. Giles will cover the challenges associated with the situation, including safeguarding and inclusion, and suggest tools and techniques that have been well-received as circumstances developed. At the TEC Partnership we use Canvas LMS, a leading VLE platform with extensive functionality providing our FE and HE tutors a platform to deliver their online content. The tools within Canvas allows you to further integrate other applications, such as OneDrive Files and Cloud Assignments, Class Notebooks and Teams meetings.
This session will show some of the ways Canvas can be used for online delivery, showing Class Notebook setup options, Cloud assignments and the added accessibility features that can be enabled within Canvas, such as the Immersive Reader and Blackboard Ally.

This session will explore how you can use Seesaw in a multi-sensory way to enhance the learning of all children and how, by harnessing the power and flexibility of Wakelet, this powerful combination can ensure that the children can maximise learning potential. The session will give a brief overview of Seesaw and Wakelet showing practical examples of lessons involving both. It will be suitable for users of either platform, for teachers of small groups, whole classes or individual learners.

This session will take you on a ‘whistle stop’ tour of Assignments within Microsoft Teams. It will give you an insight into the different features within Assignments, and how these can be used to support teaching and learning, both remotely and within the traditional classroom.
The first aim is to share how different aspects such as the overview page, rubrics and gradebooks can support engagement tracking and help you to understand where pupils are at on their learning journey. Secondly, the session will demonstrate how teachers can reduce their workload and give timely and focused feedback to all students within their class.
